RECIPIENTS SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • High School senior from Saginaw County
  • Male or Female
  • Must have lettered in a varsity sport in high school for at least two years
  • Applicant, parent, or legal guardian must be a Lifetime Voting Member of the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Must be enrolled full-time at a Michigan college or university, with preference given to Saginaw Valley State University
  • An individual can only win the Hall of Fame scholarship once.

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

  • Attending Saginaw Valley State University – 20%
  • Financial Need - 15%
  • Essay – 10%
  • Overall involvement in work, extracurricular activities and community service – 20%
  • Letters of Recommendation – 10%
  • Citizenship and Character – 15%
  • Leadership – 10%
