Carrollton High School became the first girls team from Saginaw County to win a state championship since Title IX was enacted
1979 – Carrollton won the Class C state championship with a 50-31 victory over Royal Oak Shrine. The Cavaliers, coached by Gary Zimmerman, finished the season with a perfect 28-0 record.
1981 – Carrollton won its second Class C state championship with a 53-46 victory over Addison. The Cavaliers, coached by Bill DeLong, lost its first game of the season and did not lose again as they posted a 26-1 record.
1982 – Carrollton won its second consecutive Class C state championship with a 60-32 victory over White Cloud. The Cavaliers, coached by Bill DeLong, finished the season with a 26-2 record.
