DON BETHUNE
Don is a lifetime resident of Saginaw. He attended North School, St Andrew’s and is a 1961 Graduate of Arthur Hill High School. While in school he played football and baseball. He played on several championship softball, basketball and football teams in his youth. Don is a Viet Nam veteran, serving in the US Army from 1964-66. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 30 plus years with General Motors Corporation. Don is a lifelong sports fan and has coached Knothole baseball and flag football in Saginaw. He is married to Marlene Bethune and has two sons, Todd and Matthew. Don, a member of the Arthur Hill Letterwinners club, was the driving force behind starting the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame, where he served as President until 2007 when he retired.
