Went to Michigan State College and was a two-year starter at safety Intercepted three passes and awarded the game ball in collegiate debut vs. Oregon State Ran back six punts for touchdowns in his Spartan career Named All-America by Chicago Tribune in sophomore and junior seasons (1951-52)
Played on Michigan State’s National Championship undefeated team (1952)
Selected in National Football League draft by Cleveland Browns after his junior year
After serving in the U.S. Army, played one year in the Canadian Football League
