Anthony Roberson

While playing basketball and football at Saginaw High School from 1999 to 2002, Anthony Roberson was nothing short of a standout athlete. In 1999 he was part of the football team that won a MHSAA Division 2 State Championship. On the court though is where Roberson really excelled. From 1999 to 2002 he was named a top 5 player in the country in his class, a 2 time parade All-American, and a MacDonald’s All-American in 2002. In that game as a McDonald’s All-American he played with Hall of Famers Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh.

As he was finishing up his senior year of high school, Robertson found him being sought after by every school in the country such as Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, Kentucky, and Kansas. Ultimately though Roberson chose to play for the University of Florida Gators. As a freshman in 2003, he was named freshman of the year and he continued collecting accolades during his college journey that includes a two time AP All-American, two times All SEC First Team, and one time Co-Player of the year in the SEC.

He chose to forgo his final college year and entered the 2025 NBA draft. After going undrafted, he did not go unnoticed and signed with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies in 2005. He suited up for 65 NBA games with the Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and a short stint  with the Los Angeles Lakers. His basketball journey then led him overseas, where he  has played with numerous teams around the world. Today he leads the way for the future as  part of the Player Development Coaching for DME Academy.
